GameWorks Kicks Off Summer With an All American Theme
GameWorks launched its summer promotion, "All American Summer," Monday, June 7, allowing guests of all ages to get a break from the heat with game challenges, competitions and thematic food and drink specials.
Glendale, Calif. June 17, 2004 -- GameWorks launched its summer promotion, "All American Summer," Monday, June 7, allowing guests of all ages to get a break from the heat with game challenges, competitions and thematic food and drink specials.
As part of "All American Summer," GameWorks has created a program called "Buckin' Good Friday," where guests can ride the new mechanical bull each venue has purchased. Contests include men vs. women bull riding competitions and slow ride competitions.
"The mechanical bull has been one of our most innovative ideas," Clint Manny, the senior vice president of sales and marketing, said. "It's unlike anything we've ever done before, and we believe we'll reach out to a broader audience."
Bartenders will ring a cow bell whenever a guest orders a specialty drink from the summer menu or a good tip comes in. Furthermore, guests will enjoy the music of American favorites on big screen TVs.
To enhance the excitement surrounding this promotion, GameWorks has purchased more than 170 video games to add to the venues.
Guests can build their own summer pass by purchasing a two-hour game card for $15 Monday through Friday. Each additional hour is only $5 as part of this offer.
The Las Vegas venue is offering an "All American Summer All Day Pass" for $35. Guests will receive a voucher valid for any food item off the Power Lunch menu for an additional $5.
Grapevine, Ontario, Tempe and Las Vegas venues have lowered all games to under $1.
(Attractions and mechanical bull are excluded from this offer)
